Driving mechanism of injection molding manipulator
There are 4 main driving mechanisms used by the manipulator: hydraulic drive, pneumatic drive, electrical drive and mechanical drive. Among them, the hydraulic drive and air pressure drive are most used.
1. Hydraulic drive
The hydraulic driving manipulator is usually composed of a hydraulic actuator (various cylinders, an oil motor), a servo valve, an oil pump and an oil tank, etc., and is driven by the actuating manipulator execution mechanism. Usually it has great ability to snatch (up to several hundred kilograms), which is characterized by compact structure, smooth movement, impact resistance, vibration resistance, good explosion proof, but the requirements of hydraulic components manufacturing precision and high sealing performance, otherwise the oil spill will pollute the environment.
2. Pneumatic drive
Its driving system is usually made up of cylinders, air valves, gas tanks and air compressors, which are characterized by convenient gas source, quick action, simple structure, low cost and convenient maintenance. But it is difficult to control the speed, pressure is not too high, so snatch capacity is low.
3. Electric drive power drive is one of the most used driving modes of the manipulator. Its characteristic is the power supply convenient, fast response, large driving force (joint discreet has reached 400kg), signal detection, transmission, processing is convenient, and can use a variety of flexible control scheme. The driving motor usually adopts the step motor, and the DC servo motor (AC) is the main driving mode. Because of the high speed of the motor, it is usually necessary to adopt the deceleration mechanism (such as harmonic drive, RV cycloid needle wheel drive, gear drive, spiral transmission and multi rod mechanism, etc.). Some mechanical manipulators have started the direct drive (DD) of motors with large torque and low speed without deceleration mechanism, which not only simplifies the mechanism, but also improves the control accuracy.
4. Mechanical drive
Mechanical drives are used only for fixed movements. Generally, the cam linkage mechanism is used to implement the prescribed action. Its characteristic is that the action is reliable, the working speed is high, the cost is low, but it is not easy to adjust. The other also uses a hybrid drive, that is, a liquid - gas or electro - hydraulic hybrid drive.
